For our meeting on January 31st 2024, we were joined by Angela, a Special Olympic Mom and Coach, and her son Logan, Logan has successfully qualified to compete on the upcoming Provincal Championships. They provided some great insight into what it is like to compete and the unique sense of community and spirit that are shared by all those that participate in the Special Olympics

Longtime Stirling Food Bank volunteer, Heather Bailey (center) accepts a cheque in the amount of $8,000.00 from Stirling Rotarian, Laurie Osborne, as Stirling Rotary Co-President, Bill MacKay looks on. The $8,000.00 represents the total proceeds from the local service club’s tenth annual Christmas online auction – a fundraiser dedicated to assist and support the Stirling Food Bank for the past decade.
At our January 31st meeting a motion was moved by Trevor and seconded by Cory, that the Club approve the kitchen flooring proposal option # 2 that was presented by Darcy. Motion carried.
John Brewster and Bill Vaughan will be judging at the Quinte Regional Science & Technology Fair (QRSTF) 62nd Edition on April 6th. This event provides local students with a positive educational experience designed to foster a lifelong love of science and technology. Winners proceed to the national fair where they will share a week of competition, socializing, cultural activities, scientific tours and workshops.
