The Paul Harris Fellow recognition acknowledges individuals who contribute, or who have contributions made in their name, of $1,000 to The Rotary Foundation.
Rotary established the recognition in 1957 to encourage and show appreciation for substantial contributions to what was then the Foundation’s only program, Rotary Foundation Fellowships for Advanced Study, the precursor to Ambassadorial Scholarships.
It was a special evening last Friday as the Rotary Club of Stirling celebrated our Rotary Foundation with the presentation of four Paul Harris Fellows at our Friday Night Social. A Paul Harris Fellow can be recognized when a contribution of $1,000 US is made to the Rotary Foundation.
Joining us for the evening were our special guests, Past Rotary International President (PRIP) Wilf and Rika Wilkinson from the Rotary Club of Trenton.
Stirling Rotary Club member Donna Graff was our first recipient for the evening recognizing her tireless efforts on behalf of our Club. Long time Club Treasurer John Brewster made the presentation on behalf of the Club.
Our second Paul Harris Fellow was presented to Julie Yoo of ProStop, in appreciation for Julie and Min's significant support of our community. Past President Laurie Osborne recognized the impact of the Yoo's generosity.
Trevor and Shelley Hagerman were pleased to introduce Club member Becky Sarles-Davis as our third Paul Harris Fellow, who has helped raise significant funds for use in Stirling.
Our final Paul Harris Fellow for the evening, was presented to Trevor Haggerman for ongoing contributions to the Rotary Foundation. Trevor has achieved Paul Harris Fellow + 4.
Congratulations to all our recipients and thank you for your efforts in helping to make a difference in our community!
