Alan Kester had the opportunity of providing some insight to his life which he entitled “Highlights and Passions”.
Alan was born in Denver, CO, moves to Massachusetts. The family then moved to a number of locations including Picton NS, Montreal, Halifax, Sudbury and Toronto, all to follow his father’s career path. This meant that Alan attended 11 schools in 13 years!
After High School Alan attended Waterloo University for Business Administration and Political Science and in 1973, went to Windsor Law School. In 1978, he was called to the Ontario Bar. Over the years he has had a few career paths such as lawyer, financial auditor and restaurant owner. Great stories to share!
He’s a proud father of four and loving husband to Marijke.
Alan has had the opportunity to travel the world including most of Canada & USA, as well as England, Southern Europe & Japan. Still on the bucket list is Ireland, Scotland, Hawaii, Middle East and a safari in Africa. In his spare time, Alan enjoys reading, motorcycling, golf, cooking, spending time with his family, skiing and curling.
