The Rotary Foundation helps Rotary members to advance world understanding, goodwill, and peace by improving health, providing quality education, improving the environment, and alleviating poverty.
Past District Governor and Rotary Foundation District Chair was our guest speaker. Bob Started his presentation by reminding our members of the Rotary Foundation Objective. The Rotary Foundation helps Rotary members to advance world understanding, goodwill, and peace by improving health, providing quality education, improving the environment, and alleviating poverty.

A high overview of the Rotary Club of Stirling Foundation fundraising analysis shows that as a Club we have already exceeded our Annual Fund Goal and that for the last four years we have exceeded each successive years contribution.

PDG Bob then provided some information to help better understand Global Grants. Rotary Foundation Global Grants support large international activities with sustainable high-impact outcomes in one or more of the seven areas of focus and have a long-term impact. Clubs and districts can either create their own activities or sponsor packaged global grants that are developed by The Rotary Foundation in cooperation with its strategic partner.

There are numerous ways to support our Rotary Foundation (Canada). Your donation changes lives! Every amount contributed to The Rotary Foundation (Canada) is spent in support of humanitarian, educational, and cultural programs, and their operations. Clubs and districts apply for and receive Foundation grants to carry out worthy projects worldwide.
Here are a few of the ways that your contribution can make a difference:
  • $100 can buy textbooks for one elementary school in Zambia.
  • $5,000 can buy vaccine to immunize 10,000 children against polio.
  • $24,000 can buy an academic-year Rotary Foundation Ambassadorial Scholarship
  • $100,000 can buy funding for two to complete a two-year graduate program for a Rotary World Peace Fellow
President Lianne expressed the thanks of the Club by presenting a certificate to indicate that because of PDG Bob’s presentation a donation has been made to immunize 50 children against polio.
