Pictured here (L-R) are Stirling Rotarians, PJ Kursell, Alan Wells, Lynda Brady, Donna Graff and Darcy McGroarty. Longtime volunteer, Mona Lise Dube, is kneeling in front. The Stirling Rotary bi-weekly Bottle Drive is now in its seventh year and has managed to raise thousands of dollars in support of many worthwhile community projects. And from now on, there will be a Free Draw, every two weeks, open to anyone who donates their empties to the Stirling Rotary Bottle Drive, with a chance to win a $25 LCBO gift card.

Rotarian, Laurie Osborne with assistance from nephew, Braydon, has been kept busy sorting, cataloguing and adding items to the 2024 Stirling Rotary online Christmas auction website. The eleventh annual auction goes ‘live’ at 5:00 p.m. Friday Nov. 29 and runs until noon, Friday Dec. 6 and features an amazing line-up of more than 100 generously donated gift items just in time for some early Christmas shopping. Pictured here are just a few of those items. All proceeds will support the Stirling Community Cupboard (Food Bank) and the Christmas Food & Toy Drive.
Pictured are Foxboro residents, 7-year-old, Evie and 10-year-old, Shayla. The sisters are examining an oversized pumpkin to see if they can estimate its weight. The giant pumpkin is the centerpiece of the annual, fun-filled, guess-the-weight-of-the-pumpkin contest held at the Pro One Stop in Stirling. It’s a 50/50 contest with half the proceeds going to the local Food Bank and runs until Sunday October 27 at 3 p.m. when the actual weight will be revealed and a winner declared.
Two of the younger drop-in visitors to the annual Pro One Stop Customer Appreciation BBQ held last Saturday, were 5-year-old, Kayleigh, and 7-year-old, Amber of Stirling. The sisters are seen here, sitting comfortably on the tailgate of Dad’s pickup, each enjoying a hot-off-the-grill, hot dog. Members of the local Lions Club and Stirling Rotary Club have worked together each and every year to help make this popular annual event such tremendous a success.
Pictured here is Stirling resident, nine-year-old, Cooper, perhaps considering the purchase of a fine bicycle helmet, just one of the thousands of bargains available at the 24th annual, Stirling Rotary Giant Yard Sale, held two weeks ago, on site, at the Stirling railway station.
